Binh Duong Electricity Company’s leaders said that after 15 days (from March 16) of implementing increase in power retail rate from VND1,508.85/kWh to VND1,622.01/kWh in line with the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Decision No. 2256/QD-BTC, clients have yet to reflect to electric sector.
Spurring dissemination
Before applying new price of electricity in line with Decision No.2256/QD-BTC, Binh Duong Electricity Company carried out dissemination on various forms such as cooperating with Binh Duong Television and Radio Station, Binh Duong Newspaper to inform new price rate of power for enterprises, households, working with local radio stations to disseminate the new price rate as well as distributing leaflets across public areas, lodging houses and factories and more.
Do Hoang Son, head of Binh Duong Electricity Company’s Business Department said that until now the company has calculate 24,965 electricity meters of business workshops, enterprises and 332,240 meters of households. The calculation was implemented in publicity, transparency. There are no clients reflecting on this job.
Adapting to changes

Meanwhile, Nguyen Thanh Nghia, general director of Dai Thien Loc JSC said that with increase of only VND113 per kWh, makers of steel, cement, etc must re-calculate volume of electric consumption. Owing to the global economic recession and domestic real estate market, the company’s factory only operates one third of capacity but energy price increases VND273mn per month. Electricity price hike will make enterprises and households accept because this is a common situation.
