Enhancing skills in combatting, handling violations in e-commerce

On the morning of July 31, provincial Market Control Department held a training conference on combatting and handling violations in e-commerce for 2024.

At the conference, presenters focused on key topics, including combatting violations in e-commerce and protecting consumers; skills in gathering information, documents and evidence of legal violations in e-commerce; methods, tactics, and typical violations regarding intellectual property infringement and counterfeit goods in e-commerce... The delegates also discussed common violations and products frequently involved in e-commerce violations, shared practical experience in preventing and combating e-commerce violations, proposed solutions to make law enforcement in e-commerce more effective...

According to Nguyen Viet Dung, Deputy Director of provincial Market Control Department, the rapid development of e-commerce has led to an increase in the sale of prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, intellectual property infringements, and goods of unclear origin on websites and social media platforms (Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, etc.)... This has significantly affected the business environment, consumers’ rights and interests.

However, detecting and handling violations involving counterfeit, fake, and unclear origin goods in the electronic environment poses many challenges. Therefore, this training session aims at raising awareness and unifying the actions of the local market control forces and related entities in monitoring, detecting, combating e-commerce violations and protecting consumers.
