Enterprise supporting package announced

Early September 3, Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung and his permanent deputy, Mr. Tran Van Nam had a working session with Working group of supporting enterprises affected by recent incidents in the province (the working group) in a bid to evaluate the same implementation for the time to come.

At the working session, Mr. Le Thanh Cung officially announced the VND-1,000-billion credit package to support the affected enterprises to recover their production.

As reported, many fields have been renovated thanks to the package. Particularly, the insurance policies and advancement have been offered to the enterprises in terms of tax grace and discounts.

As the package was announced, many enterprises have been recovered from the May incident to stabilize their production. Many members of the working group informed of high appreciation of foreign consulates and associations regarding the timely support of the province.

At the session, the working group has discussed measures to continue the implementation and improvement of State’s supporting policies towards enterprises for the time to come.

Concurrently, Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee announced VND-1,000-billion credit package to support the affected enterprises in the province to recover their production. The package was approved by the government with assignment to BIDV to disburse to 37 enterprises as approved and proposed by the province as affected enterprises.

Accordingly, the affected enterprises shall be offer discounted interest loans at 7% a year for 3-year term, of which, the province shall bear 50% of interest payments to the bank. The affected enterprises only need to pay the rest 50% of loan interest.

The package was welcomed by enterprises.

Director of Binh Duong Branch of BIDV, Duong Trang Ngoc Linh informed of basic completion of procedures for disbursement of the package to the affected enterprises.

Addressing the session, Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung highly appreciated the efforts of departments and sectors as members of the working team in implementing policies to support enterprises. He called upon the team to continue reviewing the results made.

As for drawbacks that may emerge from the package implementation, proposals should be made to the provincial authority for rapid and effective response.

Cung also affirmed that the package implementation has been great effort of the provincial authority in helping the banking sectors and the State support the enterprises.

Thus, for the time to come, the working team members should concentrate on broadcasting and elaborating the intention of the VND-1,000-billion package to enable recovery of enterprises.
