Enterprises accelerate production

After successfully controlling the epidemic and returning to the "new normal", the socio-economic situation of Tan Uyen town has quickly been stabilized. Joining that trend, each enterprise in the town is also working hard to produce with safe and flexible adaptive solutions and make practical contributions to the common development.

Flexible adaptation

It can be seen that the flexibility in production in accordance with the epidemic situation and actual conditions at each unit is bringing a clear effect on enterprises in Tan Uyen town today. According to Mr. Nguyen Liem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lam Viet Company, Resolution 128 of the government has strongly promoted businesses to restore operations including the wood production and processing industry. Up to now, the epidemic situation in Tan Uyen town has gradually been controlled. The locality has been facilitating production and business activities to operate smoothly in the "new normal". In which, the goal is to ensure consistency in compliance with regulations and instructions of ministries and branches, and at the same time promote the initiative and creativity of enterprises in controlling the epidemic situation and facilitate production restoration and business operations. This is really a good and useful signal for the whole society and businesses including the wood business community - an industry with a very large number of employees. The business community is doing its best for development goals associated with locally social responsibility.

Depending on each business field and specific conditions, enterprises choose their own solutions. Mr. Vuong Sieu Tin, Director of Phuoc Du Long Ceramics Company, said that thanks to the early initiative in injecting COVID-19 vaccine for workers and in addition to preparing policies to take care and support in advance for workers on unpaid leave or employees exposed to the disease, the company has retained its employees at the company, ready to start production after the social distancing period. “Our company is making great efforts for orders in 2021, and is currently accelerating the delivery of late orders. With the fluctuating personnel situation after the epidemic, the company is making efforts to invest in technology and innovate management methods to adapt to the new situation. We strengthen the application of technology in the management of workers to minimize the infection among workers,” Mr. Tin shared.

It is known that Phuoc Du Long Company has received orders for 2022. During the stressful epidemic, the factory was only operating at 50% capacity, so orders were accumulated. The company is currently negotiating with a partner to help delay the delivery time, and at the same time, flexibly increase output through finding outsourcing facilities. Currently, the company is also accelerating production along with better control of the epidemic in the provinces and more convenient circulation; the output will be stable to meet the set plan.

Side-by-side support for enterprises

According to Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of the town's People's Committee, from the beginning of October 2021 to now, the good control of the disease has helped restore production and business operations as well as revive businesses. However, businesses are not subjective and neglectful in disease prevention and control. Regulations and sets of criteria for assessing safe operations in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic at production and business establishments issued by the locality are strictly followed by the units along with all regulations and requirements in accordance with the spirit of "safe to produce, production must be safe." The town continues to strengthen epidemiological surveillance to both ensure disease control, restore production, develop socio-economic, and stabilize people's lives in the "new normal”.

From a local perspective, Mr. Phan Chi Nhan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thai Hoa ward, said that after the COVID-19 epidemic, the production situation of enterprises in the ward had stabilized. Thanks to good care of people's lives and workers in the area, the workers have stayed to continue working at production enterprises with the rate of 80-90%. It is a great effort of the locality and the business community.

Ms. Phan Thi Phuong Linh, Human Resources Director of Earth Corporation Vietnam Co. Ltd. in Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park, said that one of the enterprises has safely produced by the "3 on-site" option during the pandemic; as soon as it returned to the "new normal", the company accelerated production to have enough goods for the market and for export. Currently, the factory is operating at 120% of its capacity. Fortunately, the company did not have a shortage of personnel, so the production situation have soon been stabilized and developed.
