Dialogue conference between provincial People’s Committee and investors of VSIP and Mapletree IP. According to VSIP Management Board, in 2013, operations of VSIP I, II have been broaden; BD Mapletree IP continues to achieve high productivity in attracting investment. Namely, since the beginning of this year, these IPs have attracted total FDI value of $313.2mln including 21 new FDI projects worth $100.6mln and 41 projects increasing capital worth $212.6mln to expand their business. Up to now, provincial IPs administrated by VSIP Management Board have magnetized 365 FDI projects with total registered capital of $4.77bln and 20 domestic projects with VND3,834bln. At the present, there are 350 active businesses and over 10 projects are constructing facilities and installing machines.In general, in 2013, businesses in VSIP have run effectively, generated revenue of $4.8bln, which is 6.67% higher than last year and target; created jobs for 8,000 labors, increasing the total number of labors working at VSIP’s businesses by over 119,000 labors. According to VSIP Management Board, most of businesses have worked more steadily and smoothly than in 2012, because of recovering economy and stable market, thereby, contributing largely to fulfilling provincial socioeconomic development target.Deputy Head of VSIP Management Board Ly Hung assessed, because IP’s proprietor deployed swiftly the infrastructure and professional marketing staff to satisfy investor’s demand of land and facility rent, enterprises surmounted successfully difficulties of the economic recession and recovered their business. Additionally, the Management Board was always side by side with enterprises to address timely arisen problems. The government from the Central to the province has also assisted investors in their business operations. At the conference, enterprises put forward their opinions on price, the market, and macroeconomic policies; implementation of tax, import-export, salary regulations; infrastructure like electricity, water, telecommunication, security order, traffic and so on. Representatives of tax, customs, labor, insurance, electricity agencies answered carefully these opinions as well as instructed businesses in related policies, regulations, which causing contentment at enterprises. Participating in the conference, Finecs Vietnam Company’s General Director Mr. Saeki Koichi said, although their company has just operated at VSIP 1 for 1 year, the company has received supports from provincial government and sectors. This was the first time he join this conference, but straightness and enthusiasm of provincial leaders to solve enterprise’s problems, created a deep trust from him and other businesses. Speaking at the conference, provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung contended, Binh Duong always considers business’s success as the province’s success, effective operation of businesses contributes to provincial socioeconomic development. Mr. Cung stressed: “If enterprises are facing difficulties, they can immediately petition instead of waiting for a conference. Enterprises in VSIP need to meet appropriate authorities to be instructed, solved problems or meet directly VSIP Management Board.
