Before the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic, province-based enterprises have continued implementing “duel goals” of economic development and Covid-19 prevention.
Production recovery
In fact, many production industries in the province are on the momentum of quick recovery. According to a report by provincial Bureau of Statistics, the province’s export value in January 2021 was estimated at increasing by 1.1% and 61.7% compared to the previous month and the same period last year, respectively. The province’s import value also saw the growth of 1.6% and 69% against the previous month and the same period last year. Along with speeding up production at great orders from partners, province-based enterprises have still made efforts in Covid-19 prevention and control.

Ho Thi Diem Le, Head of Taisei Bijutsu Printing Vietnam Co.Ltd.’s Administrative Department in Ben Cat town said that the company has got orders till mid-year from domestic and foreign partners. To maintain its production, export activities, the company has seriously implemented Covid-19 prevention and control. It is known that the company has asked for all laborers to install the Bluezone contact-tracing app and make medical declaration. For laborers who are isolated under the local regulations, they will be supported 50% of salary during the isolation period.
Whilst, Huynh Quang Thanh, Vice-Chairman of Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association, General Director of Hiep Long Co.Ltd. in Thuan An city said that the company has received orders till April 2021, but it has still faced difficulties in production-business, due to the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, making efforts in Covid-19 prevention and control right now is very necessary. He also said that the woodwork industry of Binh Duong in particular and the export woodwork industry in general will enjoy great opportunities in 2021. But, enterprises need to map out long-term strategies because clients ‘requirement will be higher together with more severe competitiveness and closer regulation on production-export.

Nguyen Minh Truc Le, Director of Gre Apha Elactronic Company’s Personnel Department said that Vietnam has well realized Covid-19 prevention and control. The company’s factory has worked very stably, meeting partners ‘orders on time. Therefore, the company has received more orders from many countries. Also according to Mrs.Le, the company has always attached special importance to implementing the “duel goals” of economic development and Covid-19 prevention-control.
Kim Won Sik, Chairman of province-based Korea Business Association said that Vietnam has attached special importance to production industries, so enterprises will give priority to selecting the country for investment if needing to change their investment climate. This is a very advantage for Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular, especially when the province has well controlled Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade affirmed that Binh Duong will accompany enterprises by many forms, including providing supply chain systems, expanding information systems…Based on the foundation of the 4.0 industry, the local sector of industry and trade will continue improving its State administrative system in order to give more support policies for enterprises.
It is known that the province has paid more attention to infrastructure development. In the coming time, the province will boost traffic projects connecting with HCM city before the Metro line is put into operation. Especially, the province will expand the national highway 13, completely open traffic to the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway in association with developing the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system…The province has coordinated with neighboring localities to propose many projects on infrastructure connectivity in the southeastern region to the Government.
