Enterprises granted advanced quality management certifications

After 10 years of implementing the national program on "Improving the productivity and quality of products from Vietnamese enterprises until 2020", provincial Department of Science and Technology has so far supported 37 out of 40 enterprises to set up, apply and certify advanced quality management systems; assisted 21 out of 24 enterprises to apply quality productivity improvement tools such as 5S, QCC, 7 tools, Kaizen, Layout, KPIs, material flow cost accounting (MFCA) and others; supported all 26 enterprises to win the National and Asia-Pacific Quality Awards. In addition, enterprises without participating in the support program have carried out the certification and announcement of standard and regulation conformity for 550 products by themselves, beyond the set targets.

Ly Thai Hung, Director of the Sub-Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality under provincial Department of Science and Technology said that enterprises participating in the program have achieved encouraging results, saving production costs, reducing the rate of waste products and improving competitiveness. The movement of productivity and quality in the province is also forming and developing strongly.
