Despite difficulties, Ben Cat town-based enterprises last year fulfilled their plans on production and business. This was due to the world economy on recovery, the national economy with stable growth plus the attention and support of the local government.
High growth targets
The wholly Japanese invested Punch Industry Manufacturing Vietnam Co.Ltd. at My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park in Ben Cat town’s Thoi Hoa ward is specialized in producing various precise components. Although only operating in the province for a short time, the company has taken fruits in production and business, due to the local favorable investment climate plus the attention of the local government. Hence, the company believes that it will complete 2017’s plan.

As a domestic enterprise specialized in making fine art and handicraft items, Quang Minh Production-Trading Joint Stock Company generates nearly 20,000 products with the average revenue of US$600,000-US$900,000 per year. Based on achievements done in 2016, the company has set a target of increasing its revenue by 30%-40% this year.
In spite of difficulties, Dong Xuan Paper Packaging Private Enterprise last year managed to reach stable growth. The company secured nearly VND10billion in revenue, generated stable jobs for approximately 100 laborers with the average income of between VND5milion and VND5million per capita per month. In 2017, the company has set a target of obtaining growth by 40%-50% compared to the previous year.
Taking full advantages
In 2017, domestic enterprises will enjoy many advantages when free trade agreements between Vietnam and its partners take effect. The U.S withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP) will also not affect their activities in the market.
Tran Tien Nam, CEO of Quang Minh Production-Trading Joint Stock Company said that his company has devised appropriate programs, plans to approach and expand consumption in the U.S market. The company will also team up with universities in Germany to further improve product patterns, seek new material resources to cater domestic and foreign partners’ needs.
In 2017, Ben Cat town has set a target of reaching more than VND97.56trillion in production value, up 18.5% compared to 2016, in which industrial production value will be more than VND78.6trillion, up 16%..Optimistic spirit from enterprises will be the foundation for the town to fulfill the set targets on economic development.
