In recent years, agricultural enterprises in the province have made great efforts to improve technology and machinery to increase labor productivity and product quality, namely, Binh Duong Sugar Joint Stock Company. The company’s high-tech dairy farm in Phu Giao district has hundreds of cow, but the number of engineers and workers is less than 10 persons. Here, the farm is equipped with automatic mowers, harvested grass conveyor belt into store houses, milking machine. But the most impressive thing is surveillance cameras that help to control blowers, computer system to treat accurately wastewater.
In manufacturing, many domestic enterprises in the province invested tens of billions VND in production lines to increase competitiveness. From wood, garment, leather shoes to ceramics ... many of the manual were removed and replaced by modern machinery imported from Europe and America.

According to many business leaders in the province, in the IT booming era, enterprises just need to search on the Internet and easily find newest production lines. In a high competitive environment, enterprises are forced to change their technology; who’s slower will lag behind and lose customers.
Nguyen Liem, Chairman of Directors Board of Lam Viet Wood Joint Stock Company, said he and specialized departments in the company regularly updated IT news from thematic journals of European developed countries to apply into production. Currently, the company owns modern machinery and production lines. According to Mr. Liem, a CNC machine (computer-control machine) is able to do well the work of dozens of skilled workers with high accuracy level, making products more beautiful, gaining high production output, higher quality.
Enterprises are in need of capital
Cuong Phat Ceramics Company used to be a rudimentary pottery production base, based on human power. Ly Ngoc Bach, Director of the company, said that a few years ago the company had bravely invested in new production lines. The company replaced wood-fired oven with gas and electric oven system, and recently is a modern enameling line. Automated enamel system generates more uniform quality of ceramic products; productivity is 3 - 4 times higher than the traditional one. To operate this line, workers only need to learn techniques for 2-3 days, then are able to control well. This automatic enameling system costs only $30,000 to $ 50,000.
The Industry 4.0 is spreading strongly into production and business of enterprises and people's lives. For provincial manufacturing to be more sustainable in the future, new technology is an indispensable part and require many efforts from enterprises. However, currently, most enterprises in the province are SMEs, so the investment in technological innovation also faces many difficulties, especially insufficient investment capital.
According to experts, Binh Duong should pay more attention to technology transfer from foreign invested enterprises; At the same time, continue to have effective measures for domestic enterprises to easily access funds for equipping new technologies into production. In addition, scientific and technical research activities of relevant branches and units in the province should closely follow practical demands, so that enterprises effectively apply technologies into production, contributing to meet the demands, heighten competitiveness in the domestic and export market.
