Mr. Nguyen Trong Luat, General Director of Cicor Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park I), said that the company is always committed to supporting the development of high-quality human resources through cooperation with educational institutions. The company aims to bridge the gap between academia and the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry by sharing industry insights and providing practical knowledge. This approach ensures a skilled and creative workforce for the future, while also nurturing local talent and fostering strong relationships with educational institutions.

Recently, Cicor Vietnam Co., Ltd. worked with more than 60 talented students from Eastern International University (EIU) in the form of workshops (interactive training). The session highlighted the importance of attracting and retaining talented professionals to maintain a competitive edge for businesses, and explored how to integrate artificial intelligence and automation to improve operational efficiency and product quality. At the meeting, strategies to overcome the challenges of EMS industry and take advantage of expansion opportunities were also thoroughly analyzed.

“The enthusiasm and significant contributions of students serve as a great source of inspiration, affirming our belief in the potential of the future generation of experts in Vietnam, particularly in Binh Duong,” said Mr. Nguyen Trong Luat.

Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen, General Director of Lego Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that the Lego Factory Project (Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park III) in Binh Duong has been implemented on schedule and is the fastest progressing project among factories of the same area of the Lego Group (Denmark). From June 2024, the company will set up a training center at EIU. In the early third quarter of 2024, the company launched an internal training program for hundreds of employees. The company prioritizes recruiting candidates who meet job requirements and have sufficient capacity for the applied positions; some positions require English, some positions require high technical expertise. The company is committed to creating an inclusive, diverse environment and providing opportunities for career and personal development.

Lego Group is committed to developing high-quality local human resources (Binh Duong) with the goal of creating more than 4,000 jobs in the field of technology and innovation in the coming time. To achieve this, the group has organized many training and empowerment programs for employees in Vietnam, enabling them to operate high-tech manufacturing equipment accurately.

According to the Lego Group leadership, the Lego Factory will create an inclusive, comprehensive, safe and inspiring working environment, a launching pad for all employees, regardless of differences in skills, experience and background. With the goal of prioritizing the health and productivity of employees, the group has designed the factory's production area to optimize natural light and open views; airy, lively space, including an outdoor entertainment area for families, promising to bring employees great working experiences. In addition, the Lego Group always encourages and facilitates employees to participate in local social activities. This not only helps to raise employees' social responsibility and environmental awareness, but also contributes to building pride and cohesion within the group.

Dr. Ngo Minh Duc, President of EIU, highlighted that one of the key factors that makes EIU a top choice for students is its strong connection with businesses. This relationship provides students with numerous opportunities for internships and immediate job placements after graduation. EIU focuses on practical training, equipping students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with specialized skills to ensure they can confidently enter the professional workforce. The university employs a modern training model that effectively blends theory with practical experience through projects, applied research, and internship programs at partner businesses.

The leaders of Binh Duong Vocational College report that the institution has established strong partnerships with over 700 businesses, including major corporations like Unilever, CAMSO, and Procter & Gamble (P&G). As a result, the college can stay informed about the human resource needs of these companies and make necessary adjustments to its training programs.

Mr. Le Ngoc Thuc, Chairman of Binh Duong Vocational College, stated that to address the growing demands of businesses, particularly in the industrial sector, the college is consistently updating its training programs with a focus on enhancing students' practical skills. These training programs are developed based on the actual needs of businesses, facilitating a smoother transition for learners into the workforce.
