Although only accounting for 3.8% of the local economic structure, agricultural production contributed more than VND3,00trillion to Binh Duong province last year.
The result came from great contributions by the local entrepreneurs in the field of agricultural production.
Doan Minh Chien, the owner of a general farmstead in North Tan Uyen district’s Tan Dinh commune is one of the province’s outstanding entrepreneurs. Despite difficulties, he has successfully built up a pomelo-growing model under VietGAP standards with high economic efficiency.
There are now also other tens of pomelo farmsteads successfully developed by entrepreneurs, namely Nguyen Thanh Thuy in Bau Bang district, Le Van Xe in North Tan Uyen district…
With an enterprising spirit, the local farmers have reaped successes in agricultural production. Noticeably, 9 farmstead owners have been named in the list of the province’s outstanding entrepreneurs and enterprises in 2014. This showed that the province has reached a stable agricultural production and the local farmers have also expressed their role in the emulation movement of “Good farmers in production and business”.
