After more than 20 years of re-establishment of Binh Duong province, enterprises and entrepreneurs in the province have surmounted difficulties and made coherence to rise up, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Great contributions
Over the past nine months, the province absorbed more than VND27.47trillion in domestic capital, up 22.5% compared to the same period of last year and more than VND1.4billion in FDI capital or 82.41% of the year’s plan. So far, the province has attracted 37,315 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of more than VND480.01trillion and 2,271 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than VND31.5billion. The province has ranked third among the country’s localities in FDI attraction after HCM city and Ha Noi. At a conference reviewing 30 years of FDI attraction just held the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Binh Duong was awarded the certificate of merit of the Prime Minister.

The above-mentioned results showed that enterprises and entrepreneurs have reached rapid development both in quality and quantity; worked flexibly and effectively, significantly contributing to the local economic growth. Dang Quoc Viet, Director of Viet Nhat Electronics Company said that he spoke highly of the local investment climate, especially the efforts by the local administration in supporting enterprises. With preferential policies plus solutions being realized, enterprises and entrepreneurs in the province will further reap more successes, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Enterprises and entrepreneurs in the province have always made positive contributions to creating jobs for laborers and improving their lives while effectively getting involved in social charity activities. Particularly, they supported policy beneficiaries, poor people and took care of heroic Vietnamese mothers; made contributions to the Gratitude Fund, the Fund for the Poor, the Study Promotion Fund…over the past time. They have also step by step affirmed their volunteer role in the cause of the local socio-economic development.
Internal force improved
For better development, enterprises and entrepreneurs in the province need to be proactive to approach advanced technologies and grasp the development trend of the fourth revolution for appropriate solutions and orientations.
Tran Ngoc Chu, General Director of Hoa Sen Group said: “…Before new opportunities and challenges of enterprises and entrepreneurs in the whole country, we believed that entrepreneurs in Binh Duong are competent to develop their production-business activities, increasing profits and making more contributions to the society. This is because they have got experience in the international integration process and early grasped opportunities for development”.
Speaking at a ceremony honoring outstanding enterprises, entrepreneurs in 2018, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that in order to overcome challenges and effectively apply new opportunities, province-based domestic and FDI enterprises need to uphold their spirit of solidarity to promote production and business. They also need to further accompany the province in social charity activities; mobilize all resources to take care of laborers and make environmental protection. In addition, the local entrepreneur community needs to set up solutions for better competitiveness; opportunely apply sci-tech advancements to improve production quality and scale; make efforts in trademark building…
