Nguyen Thi Phuong, vice chairwoman of the provincial Women Union said that concretizing the instruction of “Where there are women, there are societies” and implementing action plan No.13, local Women Union has built a plan No.30/KH-PN on setting up women societies in private businesses for the 2011-2016 period. The entire province has so far set up 3 women societies in private businesses with the participation of nearly 400 members.

Ba Nhat Bamboo, Rattan Cooperative in Tan Uyen district is the first unit establishing a women society. Founded in July, 2011, the society has had 4 sub-societies with nearly 300 members. Nguyen Thi Phuong, vice chairman of the provincial Women Union, said “The cooperative’s women society has created a premise for other businesses to respond establishment of the women society in a bid to help female workers improve their position in family and society”.
From the women society, Tan Uyen district Women Union has had many advantages of setting up many women societies in local private businesses. For example, Hien Thao Trade and Service Company has set up a women society with 28 members.
Nguyen Thi Phuong added that success in establishing women societies in private businesses is a start. The provincial Women Union has mapped out many measures to implement Plan No. 30 and hold conferences to honor excellent members, expand the establishment and focus on localities with many private businesses.
It is necessary to set up women societies in private businesses in a bid to spur promulgations and improve knowledge for sisters.
