According to Vietnam Wood and Forest Products Processing Association, in the first 9 months, the wood export value reached $4.79 billion, increasing 6.9% year-on-year.
According to Vietnam Wood and Forest Products Processing Association, to complete wood export target of $7 billion in 2015, during the last 3 months, the wood industry must fulfill $.21 billion, which is a huge pressure to the association. Currently, southern provinces are making up largely of the country's wood export revenue, and Binh Duong is highly expected to help in achieving the target, because the province made up over 50% total wood export value of the country.
The association also said, to fulfill the target, the whole wood industry needed to limit wood pulp export to save resource for wood products, and expand export markets in Middle East, India, South America.
