Development of farm economy encouraged
Binh Duong has creatively applied the State’s policies to make a driving force for promoting the local development of farm economy in the right direction. Particularly, the province has focused on implementation of the Decision No.88/2004 approving the development plan on farm economy in association with the processing industry in specialized farm zones .
To foster farm economy, the province
has also got involved in giving more support in technology and loan; building
traffic infrastructure; organizing production and consumption via channels like
wholesales markets and supermarkets; made trade promotion; seek consumption
markets; training human resources…
Rubber is seen as a key plant for many farmsteads
Many farmsteads have learnt to apply sci-tech advancements in production through training programs for better development. Noticeably, some have spent billions of dong on modern watering systems. Doan Minh Chien farm stead is a typical example for this.
As of late 2011, the whole province had a total of 938 farmsteads, including 37 in Thuan An town, 2 in TDM city, 2 in Di An town, 97 in Ben Cat district, 386 in Dau Tieng district, 315 in Phu Giao district and 99 in Tan Uyen district, with 10,302 hectares and 5,151 laborers.
Thriving
Many outstanding farmsteads have been discovered in the province, namely Doan Minh Chien, Thanh Thuy, Phuong Uyen, Tran Thanh Co, Phuong Nam... They have greatly contributed to promoting the local socio-economic development.
In 2011, Doan Minh Chien farmstead in Tan Uyen district secured total revenue of around VND2.5bln and profit of VND500mln-VND700mln. Many other farmsteads such as Phuong Uyen in Tan Uyen district; Thanh Thuy, Tran Van Van, Le Van Phan in Ben Cat district; Phuong Nam in Dau Tieng have also the annual revenue of between VND1.7bln and VND6bln.
The above farmsteads have also generated stable jobs for laborers. For example, laborers in Doan Minh Chien farmstead now enjoy the average income of between VND3mln and VND3.5mln per capita per month. Nearly 50 laborers at Phuong Nam farmstead also secure the average income of between VND2.1mln and VND3.5mln per capita per month.
After getting thriving, owners of the above farmsteads have actively got involved in social charity activities for the sake of public welfare.
Possibly speaking, farm economic development has contributed to promoting the province’s industrialization and modernization in rural areas. This is also a driving force for the province to successfully execute the national target program on new rural construction.
