In 2013, Thanh Tuyen commune’s Farmers Association in Dau Tieng district has launched a lot of good models, luring involvement of members. The association has admitted additional 85 members, bringing the total number of its members to 1,152.
Many exemplary role-models in production and business have been discovered through the emulation movement of “Good Farmer in production and business”. The association has also constantly taken care of members’ spiritual and material lives; transferred sci-tech advancements and built production models such as those of breeding freshwater fish; growing orchid, “linh chi” mushroom, hi-quality paddy...
Such these apart, the association coordinated with relevant agencies to disburse more than VND106mln in loan for 50 farmers; mobilized well-off farmer households to support nurslings and breeding animals for needy ones with a total value estimated at more than VND50mln; teamed up with the district’s branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to build up a loan-giving and saving program with 12 groups and 648 households. The program is estimated to reach more than VND5bln in total outstanding loan and nearly VND400mln in saving deposit.
