On the afternoon of June 27, the provincial People's Committee held a workshop on "Sharing Finland's experience in mastering planning to build smart cities and innovative eco-systems" (in photo). Attending the event was Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Management Board of Smart City, Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Pham Trong Nhan, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation and leaders of provincial departments. Finnish representatives were from the Finnish Embassy in Vietnam, experts and leaders from several Finnish cities.
Speaking at the workshop, Mai Hung Dung emphasized that Finland is always in the top 10 countries in the world in the index of Global Innovation Index (GII) and Global Competitiveness Index (GCI). The success of Finland in promoting economic growth and sustainable development based on innovation is a valuable experience for reference. Mai Hung Dung highly appreciated the long-lasting friendship and cooperation between the two countries, which would be a favorable condition for Binh Duong to cooperate with Finland, to share experiences, solutions or Developing a new eco-system, enabling the province to seek and develop suitable models for application in the province.
At the workshop, the Finnish shared their experience in building commercial and innovative ecosystems with the goals and requirements for implementation. It should focus on enhancing the industrial renewal of economic development, providing friendly and convenient services for people and enterprises, setting up innovative innovation as well as steps for deployment in sectors and fields.
