The year 2020 ends with remarkable success of the province. The efforts and flexibility of the authorities at all levels, the business community and all classes of people, economic quality has been improved and labor productivity has increased. By the end of 2020, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) increased by 6.19% from 2019, a relatively good growth rate compared to the whole nation and the Southeast region. In which, many indexes of industrial production (IIP) increased by 8.02%; total retail sales of consumer goods and services increased by 12.3%; export turnover increased by 8.5%; total investment capital for development of the whole society reached VND 133,568 billion, increasing by 11.6%; total foreign direct investment capital reached USD 1.9 billion; export turnover reached USD 27.4 billion; export surplus was USD 6 billion; total State budget revenue is estimated at VND 61,400 billion.
In the new stage, provincial leaders commit to continue many activities to accompany businesses and improve business environment while maintaining confidence and creating motivation for businesses to seek for new business solutions to create a resilience in development. In addition to institutional reforms, the provincial authority will pay more attention to implementation solutions in the direction of companionship and support for businesses. Business investment environment has been increasingly improved in a favorable direction so that every citizen and enterprise can grasp their opportunities and be more motivated to develop.
At the recent meeting with the business community, the provincial leaders committed to continue to openly, transparently and fairly resolve administrative procedures, difficulties and problems to be quickly perceived and resolved. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee asked that the coordination among branches and functional agencies should continually be strengthened, including clear definition of the tasks of each agency, as well as responsibilities of their leaders. Legitimate opinions and aspirations need to be listened to and shared by the manner of vision to become better. Thereon, when the policies come into life, they will become the driving force for businesses to develop and compete in the region and in the world.
