First train shipment of fresh coconuts from Song Than station to China

Early October 25, Rail Transport and Trade Joint Stock Company (Ratraco) in collaboration with FADO iExport Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to launch the first train carrying the first fresh coconut batch from Song Than International Intermodal Station in Binh Duong province to Guangzhou, China.

The train carries fresh coconut products for export from Song Than International Intermodal Station to Guangzhou, China

The initial shipment consists of three containers weighing 67.5 tons, valued at approximately 220,000 yuan, with the estimated transit time of seven days. This new transportation method offers stable transit time, streamlined customs procedures for exports and imports into China, and lower logistics costs compared to road transport.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mai Hoang Long, CEO of Ratraco Company noted that choosing rail transport for fresh coconuts—a significant Vietnamese agricultural product—helps ensure the quality of products when they are being delivered to partners. It also demonstrates professionalism and a commitment to delivering the best products to international markets, reduces logistics costs for businesses and contributes to an increase in agricultural exports transported by rail.
