Efforts

Mai Hung Dung, director of the provincial department of Planning and Investment said that adjustment of overall planning on Binh Duong provincial socio-economic development till 2020 and vision till 2025 is very feasible. He added that planning on the provincial socio-economic development for the 2010-2020 period was ratified in 2007. After 5 years of leadership, management and implementation by the provincial party committee, People's Council, People's Committee and agencies, sectors, many targets of the planning reached and exceeded the set plans.

Based on this foundation, the provincial People's Committee decided to adjust the planning in conformity with local development. Therefore, on June 11, 2014, the Government Prime Minister ratified the Decision No.93/QD-TTg on adjusting overall planning on Binh Duong provincial socio-economic development till 2020 and vision till 2025. Accordingly, the adjustment focuses on goals and measures to gain the set purposes.

Specifically, Binh Duong sets a focus on developing some export industrial sectors such as timber processing, textile and garment, footwear, mechanics, handicraft, building material, porcelain and more. In addition, it targets to develop more industrial parks and compounds and strengthen export and import and development of service, tourism and transport and among others.

To develop rapidly and sustainably, investment capital is an important and essential condition. Based on adjustment of investment planning, investment in industry will gain VND470,171bil by the period of 2016-2020 and VND642,906bil in the 2021-2025 period.

As planning, the local administration will base on demand on investment to set out measures of seeking out investment capital. Dung added that capital mobilization from various sources is a feasible measure.

Addressing the conference, the provincial People's Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung said that planning adjustment is very significant for local socio-economic growth. Therefore, sectors and localities must check and launch planning measures in conformity with overall adjustment of local socio-economic development.
