The session approved several important matters, including a draft proposal for the temporary use of provincial State budget contingency fund to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Nghe An and Bac Lieu provinces. It also reviewed drafts on investment policies and pre-feasibility study reports for various projects and listened to a proposal on the investment policy for the development of infrastructure in the craft village area in Thu Dau Mot city.

Notably, the session reviewed a feasibility report presented by provincial Department of Construction on urban railway No. 1, which will connect Binh Duong new city with Suoi Tien in Ho Chi Minh city. The project is expected to start at station S1 in the center of Binh Duong new city and end at Suoi Tien bus station on Metro line 1 of Ho Chi Minh city in Di An city’s Binh Thang ward, with a total length of 32.43km, including the main line of 29.01km and the Depot connecting section of 3.42km.

The province's Metro Line No. 1 is expected to pass through four cities, including Tan Uyen, Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An and Di An, featuring 19 stations and one depot located in Tan Uyen city’s Phu Chanh ward. The first metro line of the province is primarily designed as a double-track system with a 1,435mm gauge and a designed speed of 120 km/h. The total investment is estimated at approximately VND 64.37 trillion. The project is scheduled to commence construction in 2027 and be completed for operation by 2031.

Speaking at the session, Mr. Minh basically agreed with contents presented at the session and emphasized that a number of key traffic projects and works of the province are extremely important to create a traffic axis connecting with Ho Chi Minh city, contributing to reducing traffic congestion, creating momentum for socio-economic development for the province. Therefore, he stressed the need to select investment and construction plans that are feasible and highly effective.

Regarding the feasibility study report for the province's first Metro Line No. 1, further research is required to select appropriate technology and investment options. The report should be finalized soon for submission to provincial Party Standing Committee for review and approval before being presented to the National Assembly for investment policy approval…

The session announces the Prime Minister's decision approving the election result of Bui Minh Tri as Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee.
