On the afternoon of September 10, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee presided over a meeting with the Binh Duong Smart City Executive Board.
At the meeting, the Binh Duong Smart City Executive Board briefed results done in the process of realizing the Binh Duong smart city project from 2016 to 2020. Accordingly, Binh Duong was named one of the world’s localities with the most typical smart city development strategies by the World Intelligent Forum (ICF) for two consecutive years; became official members of the World Technopolis Association (WTA), the World Trade Center (WTC)...Despite the impacts from Covid-19 pandemic, relevant units and agencies this year have still bent on implementing the set tasks in smart city development with focus on promoting hi-quality human resources, sci-tech application, innovation in the community, startup support…
Concluding the meeting, Mr.Dung spoke highly of the local implementation of the Binh Duong smart city project before challenges from Covid-19 pandemic. He also suggested members of the Executive Board to research solutions to carry out the project in line with the local development orientations for the 2020-2025 period. Sectors, departments, universities and enterprises in the province need to promote projects on sci-tech development; applied sci-tech advancements in order to improve the local investment climate and raise the quality of people’s life.
