Good challenging start
In July 2023, the socio-economic situation took place in the context that the world continued to be complicated and unpredictable. The provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee have actively, drastically and closely directed all levels and sectors to implement many solutions to remove difficulties, promote growth, maintain macroeconomic stability, and balance relatively large scales. The provincial People's Committee continued to focus on directing and supporting enterprises to recover and develop production, business, construction investment, import and export; solving problems of real estate, social housing, production and business projects with focus on compensation, site clearance and speeding up the implementation and disbursement of public investment capital, proactively prevent natural disasters, floods, storms, etc.
Accordingly, the socio-economic situation in the month had positive changes. Generally, industrial production, trade, services, export and import in 7 months increased compared to the previous month while retail activities were active. Some growth drivers have started to improve such as industrial production, public investment, and domestic investment attraction.
Notably, domestic investment attraction increased sharply over the same period. As of July 15, the province attracted VND 17,168 billion of registered capital, including 589 newly registered enterprises (VND 3,727 billion), 156 businesses adjusted to increase capital (13,971 billion VND). In 7 months the attraction has attributed for VND 52,472 billion, increasing by 16.5% over the same period. Accumulated up to now, the province had 62,848 businesses registered with a total capital of over VND 683,000 billion.
General assessment of the achieved results, Vo Van Minh emphasized that the socio-economic picture in July and 7 months of 2023 bore myriad positive signs as almost every sector increased month-on-month. However, in the remaining time of 2023, a good eal of difficulties and challenges clearly exist, requiring departments, branches, localities and businesses to make more efforts.

Leaders of departments, branches and localities said that in July and 7 months of 2023, facing difficulties and challenges, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee have issued various solutions, policies, direction and administration in all fields to decisively, timely, effectively and comprehensively reinforce the confidence of people, businesses and investors. At the meeting, the delegates focused on analyzing and clarifying a number of contents of the implementation situation of An Tay port project, decisions on the reporting, provision of information and time for reporting the medium-term and annual public investment plans of the departments, divisions, branches and the People's Committees of lower levels, the approval of typical designs, sample designs for houses for workers and employees to rent to live in, report on the results of reviewing the contents of Decision No. 10 on compensation, support and resettlement when the State recovers land, Overall adjustment project of Tan Uyen City Master Plan to 2040.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Vo Van Minh suggested that departments, branches and localities continue to make efforts and determination in performing assigned tasks.
