Accordingly, scientific research, innovation, technical improvement have been promoted and disseminated among employees. Due to creative activities, professional level of workers has been heightened.
Reducing costs, improving productivity
To improve productivity, manufacture manager Nguyen Thanh Trung had many initiatives, like: decreasing the worker numbers by 1 worker each assembly line, which has saved an expense of $6,000/month.

Manufacture – Education department’s manager Nguyen Thanh Toan innovated management system of database, manufacture report, which have helped reducing reports, time but ensuring accurate and timely data. His initiatives have saved nearly $1,000/month from personnel cost. Additionally, to improve usage of supplies, stationeries, Mr. Toan devised solutions, like: eliminating unnecessary stationeries; replacing stationeries by the same types having lower prices; recycling stationeries, etc. have lessened costs and saved nearly $60,000/year.
According to Foster Vietnam Electronics Company’s Trade Union’s Chairman Tran Hung Dao, in annual employee conferences, board of directors and executive committee of Union branch encourage employees to promote creative activities, initiatives in manufacture. The company also facilitates implementation, application of these innovations into production and management.
Many effective projects
The company has also focused on projects, especially scientific and technological researches. Typically, effective projects of Innovation department’s manager Nguyen Van Hai have applied successfully, such as: project improving productivity of headphone assembly line, saving $4,900/month; project increasing productivity of semiautomatic lines, saving $4,080/month; project improving semiautomatic assembly lines manufacturing headphone, saving $3,280/month, etc.
In addition, Mr. Vuong Huu Dai and his team have implemented successfully projects of technology transfer, like: improving layout, increasing productivity of Conbox line, saving $2,640/month; improving machines, increasing productivity of Conbox line combined with grouping phases, saving $1,220/month; improving layout of Cable line, saving $2,640/month…
Mr. Tran Hung Dao said, to develop creative activities, board of directors and Trade Union’s executive committee have promoted and maintained creative activities, researches among employees; simultaneously evaluated, supported implementation of researches. “Researches, initiatives of employees have been applied successfully and brought practical results, economic benefits and profits worth thousands of USD…”, said Mr. Dao.
