Early August 4, FrieslandCamina Vietnam Co.Ltd. was awarded the first-class Labor Medal. Attending the event were Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of relevant agencies.

After 20 years of development in Vietnam, the company has generated a lot of high-quality milk products with the annual output of more than one billion of product units under brands like Dutch Lady, Friso, Yomost… Especially, the company has actively implemented many programs on sustainable milk sector development, green growth, community nutrition, “Den dom dom” (Firefly Lantern) study promotion…under the Government’s strategies in realizing millennium development goals for 2000 and 2015, sustainable development goals for 2015 and 2030.
During its operational process in Binh Duong, the company has also well realized regulations on environmental protection; paid nearly US$300million for the State budget; supplied over 1.5 billion milk portions for customers each year; created jobs for 15,000 laborers while actively getting involved in social charity activities, contributing to bringing practical benefits to the community.
Addressing the event, Mr.Liem acknowledged and praised achievements done by the company and emphasized that the efforts by the company’s staff over the past time were worthy of the first-class Labor Medal awarded by the State President. He also wanted that the company will further uphold achievements obtained over the past time, raise its competitiveness and operational effectiveness to be able to adapt its self to international integration.
