Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep living at Vinh Hoa commune, Phu Giao district, realized that small-scale breeding yields low profit. Thus she pursued trainings and meetings of provincial Breeding Club to improve her knowledge. After learning, in 2000, she decided to take out a loan worth VND100mln from Phu Giao district’s Agriculture and Rural Development Bank to expand her home-based business.
From 80 sows, she invested, expanded her farm and has now over 1,000 pigs after 14 years. Annual earnings from her pig farm are more than VND1bln.

Ms. Diep said: “Raising a great quantity of pig, I have to learn new knowledge from experts, experienced farmers, books, etc. I also learn new technologies when joining provincial Breeding Club. Thereby, breeding has high productivity. It also requires patience to overcome difficulties. I want to learn more to develop my farm in the future”.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep was commended by provincial Farmers’ Association and awarded excellent farmer title in period of 2012-2014.
