In early 2018, province-based enterprises have got great orders. Among them, some have had orders till August. This is seen as a good sign for the province’s export turnover to further reach high growth this year.

Truong Thi Lien, Vice-Chairwoman of Binh Duong Leather and Footwear Association, Director of Lien Phat Co.Ltd. said that last year, the company reached a 10% increase in the number of orders signed compared to 2016 with total export turnover of US$9million. She added that on the first days of the new year, the company has also got orders till August.

According to Phan Le Diem Trang, Vice-Chairwoman of Binh Duong Apparel Association, Director of International Apparel Co. in Ben Cat town’s An Dien commune, the company’s export activities last year continued gaining stable growth. The company has till now signed orders with partners till March with 750,000 products.
For woodwork processing, along with the U.S, China, Japan and South Korea, the EU is a major export market of Vietnam’s woodwork businesses. In 2017, the province’s export turnover in the woodwork sector still reached stable and high growth. The positive effects of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) that is expected to come into effect in early 2018 together with the Voluntary Partnership Agreement on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (VPA/FLEGT) in Timber and Wood Products will contribute to increasing Vietnam’s woodwork export into the market. Before the above advantages, many businesses in the province have also got orders till April.
Do Thi Kim Loan, General Director of Sao Nam Co. in the North Tan Uyen Industrial Park said that the potential of Vietnam’s woodwork processing sector is appreciated very highly. Over the past time, domestic industries’ association made efforts relating to timber. This will be the foundation for Vietnam’s woodwork industry to have better competitiveness in the international market.

In 2018, Binh Duong will further strengthen support for SMEs; well realize a trade promotion program of 2018; advocate enterprises to take part in expos at home and abroad, helping them expand their consumption market while well doing programs on international economic integration and e-business.
With orders signed in early 2018 together with advantages from free trade agreements, province-based enterprises will create breakthroughs in terms of export in 2018.
