Great success from small market-days

After five years of implementing the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, Dau Tieng district has been seen as one of localities well realizing the program of “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas”. The district has so far coordinated with relevant units to successfully organize 17 market-days of “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas”; teamed up with Co.opMart supermarket to organize a mini supermarket in Dau Tieng township and many mobile sale points in communes.

Absorbing numerous participants

The program of “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” has contributed to promoting the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”. It is considered as a new measure and creates a bridge between enterprises and customers in remote areas; is also a chance for enterprises to promote their products and get access to rural market that is very great and potential…

Reportedly, each market-day of “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” in Dau Tieng district absorbed more than 30 enterprises with more than 40 pavilions. It total revenue was estimated at VND3.6bln. The district’s People’s Committee joined hands with relevant units to speed up propaganda work. Thanks to this, each such market-day herein lured more than 2,000 visitors with all products from domestic producers with clear origins at stipulated standards on quality, label and expiry date.

At each market-day of Vietnamese goods, the organizers mobilized participating enterprises to present 30 gifts and rice to families with difficult circumstances and poor-but-excellent pupils.

Effectiveness upheld

Nguyen Tan Luc, Head of Dau Tieng district’s Division of Economics said that from the success of the “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” market-days in previous years, the size of such market-days in 2014 were improved, attracting more customers. Their total revenue stood at high level and there were positive changes in locals’ consumption awareness and psychology.

The “Vietnamese goods” market-day is a chance for rural people to get access to hi-quality domestic consumer products with reasonable price. Especially, the “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” program is a concrete action to pride of domestic products, form up a habit of using domestic products among people.

Nguyen Thi Thu, Vice-Chairman of Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee said that bringing into full play achievements done, in 2015 and in the following years, the district’s People’s Committee will further coordinate with relevant agencies to implement the “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” program with a diversification in form and content while actively making dissemination of information of the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign.

More and more people have given priority to selecting Vietnamese goods. This showed that the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign has upheld its effectiveness, thereby helping people, especially those living in rural areas to get access to hi-quality Vietnamese goods with reasonable price while helping domestic enterprises promote their production and business activities.
