Hi-quality FDI projects flow into Binh Duong

Many foreign investors with modern technologies and financial stability…have sought investment opportunities and implemented new projects in Binh Duong province.

Production expansion

Wiriyawm Paiwong, General Director of the wholly Thai-invested Kraft Vina Paper Co.Ltd. at Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc industrial park (IP) said that established in 2007, the company went on smoothness over the past time, thanks to the attention and help of the local authorities at all levels. Realizing that Binh Duong has a favorable investment climate, the company is making a plan to expand its second factory herein with modern production lines having high capacity.

Whilst, Shinichi Iitaka, General Director of the wholly Japanese-invested Yuma Vietnam Co.Ltd., specialized in manufacturing plastic precise electronic components at VSIP 2, said that the company worked very effectively over the past time, so it intends to build its second factory to expand production and welcome new development opportunities.

South Korean Consulate General in HCM city Park Noh Wan has also spoke highly of Binh Duong’s investment climate while suggesting the South Korean Business Association to further call on South Korean businesses to make investment in the province.

According to Nguyen Thanh Binh, Head of My Phuoc IP sub-Department of Customs, thanks to having good infrastructure systems together with workforce on site with higher and higher skills, FDI businesses with powerful financial capacity and modern technologies herein have upheld their advantages and are continuing to expand production. FDI capital poured into transportation

Luong Quang Trung, Chief of Taiwan’s Taipei Economic-Cultural Office in HCM city led a delegation of Taiwanese businesses to visit Binh Duong and learn about the local investment climate. Accompanying the delegation was Sony Cheng, former Chief of the Office, who is also now the advisor to Kou Wang Corp.

Established in 1946, Kuo Wang Corp. is specialized in designing, manufacturing diesel-powered buses and operating one of Taiwan’s leading transport networks. Implementing a policy bound for the south, the corp. has expanded investment in Southeast Asian countries, in which Vietnam is the first destination. In Binh Duong province, it wants to build up a public passenger transport center meeting international standards; and form a joint venture in manufacturing buses or transferring production technologies of trucks, buses with Vietnamese trademark to serve the local urban modernization process, helping locals switch from private transportation means to public ones that are safe, modern and economical.

Provincial leaders also applauded the above suggestion as the province is calling for investment in a ten-line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) form, which was allowed to connect with the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro system’s No.1 route. The presence of the corp. is very timely and in line with the local demand.
