The district has focused on developing orchards in association with ecotouism development in Thanh Tuyen commune; carried out a model of intensive farming for citrus fruit trees under VietGAP standards and created the linkage from production to consumption in 2 communes of Minh Hoa and Minh Thanh. In addition, the district has braced up individuals, businesses to foster urban and hi-tech agricultural models.
The district now has more than 110 hectares of hi-tech agricultural production. Particularly, Dau Tieng One-Member Rubber Co.Ltd. and U&I Agricultural Joint Stock Company have set up a venture on banana cultivation in Thanh An commune with 95 hectares in total. The district’s remaining area for hi-tech agriculture is implemented by locals. The district has also given priority to fostering ornamental creatures like orchid, ornamental fish…For better development, the district has set up an ornamental creature association with exprerienced artisans. The value of the district’s ornamental creature production has reached VND900million-VND1.1billion per year with the annual profit of VND600million.
As of now, the district has continued effectively taking solutions to the local agricultural sector towards sustainable development. Sectors, authorities at all levels and people in the district need to make more efforts in order to make a breakthought for the local agricultural sector.
