Farmstead economy in Tan Uyen district’s Hieu Liem commune has gained remarkable results and been considered as an advantage to spur rural economic infrastructure facility.
At present, Hieu Liem commune has had about 35 large scaled farmsteads. These farmsteads have focused on growing industrial and fruit trees and animal husbandry. These farmsteads now gain an income from VND700mil to over VND9bil. The communal farmstead economy’s development has created many jobs for local laborers and an impetus for local farm produce.
The communal farmsteads have been developed on environmentally friendly and modern trends. These are basic factors to create success in production in the farmsteads. At orchard farmsteads, the farmsteads’ owners have applied modern production forms, bringing high economic efficiency whilst animal husbandry farmsteads have launched biogas system, meeting standards on biological safety.
Trend of cooperation has been gradually established and the communal People’s Committee has set up an agricultural production cooperatives to support local agriculture industry.
Nguyen Van Huy, chairman of the communal People’s Committee, said “In the coming time, we will focus on cooperative economy and support local farmsteads by developing systems of rural traffic, water and electricity”.
Thanks to farmstead economic development, local people have enjoyed a comfortable life. With timely supportive policies and advantaged conditions, the communal farmstead economy will create many strong trademarks of farm produce and affirm the provincial agriculture’s advantages.
