The decrease in economic growth was mainly because the global economy continued to face many difficulties, unpredictable fluctuations, inflation in other countries, although cooled down, remained at a high level, orders decreased, export turnover decreased. In the first quarter of 2023, the total import and export turnover of goods nationwide was estimated at 154.27 billion USD, down 13.3% over the same period last year; in which exports decreased by 11.9% and imports decreased by 14.7%. Production of some key industries declined due to high input production costs, a decrease in the number of orders, especially in furniture, garment, footwear and leather industries... and labor reduction; business registration capital decreased.
Meanwhile, industries, such as furniture, footwear, and garment, in Binh Duong are considered the "capital" of the country.
