Under the support of Thuan An town’s Division of Economics, Nguyen Thanh Hung has successfully developed a high-tech based agricultural production model that is specialized in growing and supplying various safe vegetables under Vietgap standards.
Covering 200 sq.m, the high-tech based agricultural production model has been implemented since 2010 with adequate support in terms of technology, cost and brought initial results.
Upon natural technologies and environmentally friendly ones,
the model is sufficiently equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment. Some
crop plants such as tomato, bitter melon…under the model have also brought positive
results. Most products from the model are consumed quickly with the price of
VND25,000 per kg for tomato, VND20,000 for bitter melon-cucumber…
A hi-tech based agricultural production model in Hung Dinh commune is on a smooth development
So far, Nguyen Thanh Hung has linked with Mien Dong Farm and Food Joint Stock Company to expand the model to 4,000 sq.m. Nguyen Dang Thanh Hai, General Director of Mien Dong Farm and Food Joint Stock Company said: “The model has brought good results. We have planned to promote the model among farmers. The company will also guide farmers about techniques and equipment to promote the model while buying their products with prices higher than those in the market”.
It is known that the model is implemented under a special formula with high mineral content and little nitrogenous fertilizer. Hence, various vegetables and fruits generated from the model are very good for customers’ health. Also thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment, the model is suitable to fruit and vegetable varieties imported from foreign countries, bringing high economic efficiency.
Urbanization speed is on rise while farming land is being narrowed plus climate change. Therefore, high-tech based agricultural production models in accordance with the province’s policy need to be multiplied widely. Mr.Hai added: “The company intends to open its representative office in Binh Duong to supply products, equipment and make sci-tech transfer for farmers”.
