Recently, at the 13th meeting session, the 10th Provincial People's Council adopted a resolution on investment in Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway, the sector through Binh Duong, in PPP form in order to accelerate the implementation of key national transport projects and promote inter-regional connectivity.
The project has a total investment of 17,400 billion VND, with a total length of about 45.7km for section through Binh Duong province. The design speed is 100km/h, a level-one road traffic project. The project's starting point is at Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, located in Thuan An City, Binh Duong province. Next, go along roads DT743 and DT747 to Khanh Van bridge, then turn left away from the current road along Cai stream and parallel to DH409. Next, cut road DT743A at Green Gate, then go parallel and intersect with DT741. The route continues to cut the North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang highway, up to An Long commune, Phu Giao district to the border of Binh Phuoc province. The route will connect with Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway, plays a very important role in the socio-economic development of the Central Highlands and Southeast regions.
