Implementation of growth targets accelerated

With the perspective of achieving breakthrough growth for sustainable development, Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city is making every effort to contribute to Binh Duong's goal of achieving double-digit growth in 2025.

Urgency from the beginning of the year

In the first two months of 2025, TDM city’s Party Standing Committee has directed the city’s People's Committee to focus on managing socio-economic development tasks. Accordingly, the city has implemented measures for 2025 in a drastic and synchronous way, emphasizing the execution of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in scientific and technological development, innovation and national digital transformation as well as the Party Central Executive Committee’s Conclusion No. 123-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025, on the supplementary plan for socio-economic development in 2025, aiming for a growth rate of 8% or higher. Notably, in the first two months of the year, the city's total State budget revenue was estimated at VND 1,733 billion, reaching 42% of the provincial target and the 2025 resolution of the city’s People's Council.

Additionally, the city’s Party Standing Committee has directed the city’s People's Committee to focus on solutions and tasks to achieve the province’s double-digit growth target in 2025 and in the following years and propose solutions to increase State budget revenue; conduct auctions of land use rights; estimate revenue from changing land use purposes. The city’s Party Standing Committee requested drastic direction for compensation and site clearance, disbursement of public investment capital, especially key projects and works of the province such as belt road 3 and belt road 4 of Ho Chi Minh city passing through the city, roads along the Saigon river, expanded National Highway 13...

Nguyen Thu Cuc, Vice Secretary of the city’s Party Committee and Chairwoman of the city’s People's Committee stated that under the directives of the city’s Party Standing Committee, the city’s People's Committee is drastically leading and managing efforts to increase State budget revenue and mobilize capital under provincial 2025 Land Fund Exploitation Plan. This plan aims at generating revenue from land to support the province's socio-economic development. Accordingly, the city is focusing on measures for revenue management and tax debt recovery as well as providing timely support to resolve enterprises’ difficulties. If necessary, issues will be reported to competent authorities for resolution to help enterprises stabilize their production and business activities, ensuring sustainable revenue for State budget…

Nguyen Van An, Secretary of Hoa Phu ward’s Party Committee stated that the locality has been mobilizing resources to invest in socio-economic development. Building on the local existing foundations, Hoa Phu ward continues developing its economy with a focus on services, urbanization and industry. The ward aims at enhancing high-quality commerce and services, improving urban living conditions towards sustainable development.

Soon completing approval of plans

Mrs. Cuc stated that during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2025, the city organized delegations to visit, extend Tet greetings and meet with several enterprises in the area. These visits aimed at assessing the operational status of enterprises and providing timely support, ensuring that the city will further accompany and assist enterprises in boosting production and business activities in the coming period.

Currently, the city has six land plots undergoing auction procedures, covering a total area of approximately 5.5 hectares, with an expected revenue of about VND 2 trillion from land-use rights auctions. Additionally, five projects are in the bidding process for investor selection, spanning approximately 442.28 hectares. Upon completion, these projects will add around 10.03 km of riverside roads, contributing to the full connection of the Saigon riverside route from the border of Thuan An city to Ong Co bridge. Furthermore, they will provide approximately 44.2 hectares of green park space, about 111 hectares of social housing land and other public welfare facilities on healthcare, education and high-quality commercial centers to serve residents in the city and surrounding areas.

The city is currently collecting opinions from relevant departments and agencies to expedite the approval of adjustments to the 1/500 detailed planning for two projects. By March 2025, it aims at completing procedures for approving the adjustment of the Sabinco Tuong Binh Hiep Commercial Housing Area’s detailed plan. This will serve as a basis for modifying the investment policy, with approximately 2.3 hectares of exchanged public land designated for attracting investment in a high-quality healthcare facility to serve residents in the city and surrounding areas. By July 2025, the city plans to finalize procedures for approving the detailed plan for Chanh My Ecological Urban Area in the phase 2. This will provide a foundation for HUD Company to adjust its investment policy and complete the legal framework for developing Nguyen Van Cu street within the project boundary.

With the drastic leadership and direction from the beginning of the year by the city’s Party Standing Committee, the city’s People's Committee is creating new momentum for TDM city to reach breakthrough growth in the new development phase, joining forces and unanimity with Binh Duong to realize the vision of a new era of development of the nation.

TDM city is accelerating the appraisal process for the 1/500 detailed planning to serve as a foundation for implementing projects such as Marie Curie Primary, Secondary and High School, Dong Nam School, the Resettlement Area for Dong An 2 Industrial Park, Dai Nam Residential Area…
