Good subjects with high application chosen

2016 is the first year of the implementation of the Resolution of the 10th provincial Party Congress for the 2015-2020 tenure, so the province’s sci-tech research and development will focus on subjects pertaining to environmental protection, natural resources, climate change, mechanism, agriculture…

Minh Long I Porcelain Co.Ltd. in Thuan An town has applied information technology in production

According to Ngo Van Dinh, Deputy Director of provincial DoST, there are 10 tasks on scientific research and technological development set forth in 2016. Among them, 7 meet requirements with high application, including those of researching and setting up the local land price map, applying the geographical information system (GIS) into the local tasks on preventing floods, storms and coping with climate change…

Also in 2016, provincial DoST will strengthen inspection and assessment of tasks and subjects that have been checked and handed over to beneficiary units. This aims to promote relevant organizations and individuals to further apply and replicate results from entrusted tasks or help them remove difficulties in the process of applying the results.

Supporting enterprises in sci-tech development

This is one of the State’s policies to help enterprises improve production technologies, thereby raising their productivity, product quality and efficiency in production and business.

Realizing that competitive advantage will belong to enterprises knowing to apply sci-tech advancements in production and business, but the province has still found it difficult to enhance their capacity of technological innovation. This is because the State’s policies in sci-tech development are not yet attractive. Besides, procedures asking for granting support from the State in this field are still complicated.

Hua Thi Huan, Director of CAXE Heat Industry and Environment Co.Ltd. said that proper measures to apply the State’s policies regarding sci-tech development support  together with reforming relevant procedures are needed to allow enterprises to get access to preferential loans and other incentives for sci-tech application in production and business.

According to Mr.Dinh, provincial DoST will team up with the local functional agencies to organize activities on connecting demand-supply in technology, helping enterprises approach domestic and foreign sci-tech advancements; create advantageous conditions for them to get access to loans to serve their sci-tech application in production and businesses for better results; support them in ameliorating their products….All aim to raise the effectiveness of sci-tech development among enterprises.

Over the past five years, the province also assisted enterprises to realize 13 sci-tech tasks with a total cost of more than VND5.2bln, according to provincial DoST.
