Many practical results show that province-based Japanese enterprises have worked effectively and made important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province. For a new height, Japanese investors have got involved in the key projects to promote the development of the province’s urban infrastructure and services. The Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City project is seen as a top real estate project with a total investment capital of US$1.2bln.
Highlight of Tokyu
Among the largest Japanese-invested projects in Binh Duong, the Tokyu Binh Duong Urban Area Project is most notably.
The real estate project is developed by a joint venture between Vietnam’s Becamex IDC and Japan’s Tokyu Corporation. They are two groups full of experience in the field of urban and industrial infrastructure development. The project is built on a 110 ha-area in Binh Duong New City with a total investment capital of US$1.2bln. Once completion, it will provide 7,500 apartments and houses, plus recreational and service facilities, and offices for lease, contributing to the sustainable development of Binh Duong New City.
A miniature of the Binh Duong Tokyu Garden City This project is innovative in the
field of real estate and is the largest urban area project in Binh Duong and it
is also the FDI largest project herein so far. According to Toshiaki Koshimura,
Chairman of the Japan’s
Tokyu Group, this is not only Vietnam’s
top urban area, creating a highlight for Binh Duong in the future, but also
promotes Binh Duong’s FDI attraction, especially projects from Japan.
Becamex-Tokyu Co.Ltd. now speeds up construction of the Sora Gardens 1 project. Sora Gardens I is the first part of the three-phase Sora Gardens project, which is the first project in the Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City complex.
Sora Gardens I will comprise of Tower A and Tower B with 24 storeys, four basements, more than 400 apartments and service facilities such as a trading center and a community entertainment and sport area following Japanese quality standards. The project is scheduled for completion by 2014.
According to Hoshino Toshiyuki, General Director of Becamex Tokyu Co.Ltd., his company has applied the Japanese Tokyu Group’s experience and technologies in real estate development during 90 years into construction of the project to create a hi-quality living space with designs combined between Japanese and Vietnamese style.
At the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sora Gardens 1 project, provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung said that the Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City project will be a motivation for the local socio-economic development, in which the Sora Gardens 1 project with 24-storey twin tower will bring residents in Binh Duong an environmentally friendly and high-quality work.
Binh Duong has also spoken highly the efforts by the investor and believed that the project will be successful, contributing to promoting the local process of industrialization and modernization.
Developing together with Binh Duong
Many Japanese enterprises with early investment in Binh Duong, namely Maruichi, Sun Steel, Yazaki, Rohto-Mentholatum…have so far taken fruits in production and business, contributing to promoting the province’s export turnover and industrial manufacture value…From this, Binh Duong has further absorbed additional new projects from Japan with the desire of a long-term cooperation herein and the Tokyu Binh Duong City Garden project is a vivid example for this.
Regarding investment capital from Japan, Yamaguchi Kimio, Chairman of Japanese Business Association of HCM city said that Vietnam is now an ideal destination for Japanese enterprises and the Southern Key Economic Zone is very attractive to investors. Binh Duong has a favorable investment climate with well-built infrastructure, administrative procedures reformed, human resources with high quality…With such favorable investment climate, the association will further support Japanese enterprises to make strong investment in Binh Duong.
He added that Japan and Vietnam has built up a good cooperative relationship during the past 40 years. Upon this, Japan will further promote the relationship and there will be more Japanese investors making investment in Binh Duong, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
