After 5 implementation years of the 9th Provincial Party Resolution (2010-2015 tenure), export activities of Binh Duong have grown strongly and contributed significantly to provincial socio-economic development.

In the last 5 years, export activities of Binh Duong province have developed strongly; the average growth in the 2011-2015 reached 18.5% / year. Only in 2014, provincial export turnover reached $16.830 billion, increasing 16.5% year-on-year; in 2015 was estimated at $19.943 billion, increasing 18.5% year-on-year.

To the State-owned economic sector, in 2014, export turnover was $193.3 million, increasing 1.3% year-on-year; 2015 target is $196 million, increasing 1.3% year-on-year. To the non-State-owned economic sector, in 2014, export turnover was $2.9 billion, increasing 16.1% year-on-year; 2015 target is over $3.421 billion, increasing 1.3% year-on-year. To the FDI economic sector, in 2014, export turnover was $13.734 billion, increasing 16.9% year-on-year; 2015 target is $16.325 billion, increasing 18.9% year-on-year. The main exported products of this sector were circuit boards, electronic components, footwear, food, fabrics, yarn... From 80.6% of total turnover in 2011 to 81.6% in 2015, FDI sector has played a significant role in the export growth of Binh Duong in the last 5 years.

According to Department of Industry and Trade, Vietnam has integrated more deeply and widely, facilitating export activities, expanding markets of textiles, footwear, wooden furniture, pottery, handicrafts; simultaneously encouraging the export development of valuable goods of FDI sector, like: electronic, mechanical products...

Along with domestic enterprises, 100%-foreign-invested enterprises also had increasing export values. Nguyen Nhat Anh Thu, General Director of Takako Vietnam company (VSIP), said the company invested totally $40 million in Binh Duong; and produced nearly 25 million pistons in particular and nearly 30 million products in general. The average annual turnover of the company is $40 million. “The company has contributed to the State budget, to local economic development", said Ms. Thu.

To solve timely problems

These results have proved the importance of export activities in the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province. To obtain these achievements, PPC implemented measures to remove difficulties in order for businesses to enhance production, business activities. In addition, Binh Duong has sped up trade promotion, sent delegations to learn, survey, find new markets, take part in trade fairs at home and abroad...

According to Department of Industry and Trade, in 5 years, the province has boosted the export of key products of industrial processing industry, high-tech production, highly competitive industries to improve efficiency; performed supporting actions to help businesses in improving exported good’s quality, especially to traditional products.

5-year’s export achievements have helped Binh Duong to fulfill economic targets, given strength to local businesses in the marketplace and brought a huge foreign currency earnings to contribute to provincial development.
