The provincial department of Trade and Industry director Vo Van Cu stated that in the past year Binh Duong was ranked the third position among 63 provinces and cities in index of international economic integration. In order to maintain this index, Binh Duong needs a concrete roadmap for researching potentials, setting out and implementing strategies. In addition, some other measures are set out to keep the ranking. They include acceleration of administration reform, growth on investment, trade, dissemination and introduction on tourism products, development on craft villages and traditional festivals.
At the conference, the local department of Investment and Planning director Mai Hung Dung presented reports on launching the 2013 project of PCI improvement. The project’s main contents consist of reforming and improving efficiency of legal system, developing fields of enterprise assistance, enhancing approach of land and stability of land usage.
Meanwhile, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung stressed that the indexes of international economic integration and provincial competitiveness are very important for localities. In the past year, Binh Duong was ranked third in the index of international economic integration. This was a striking result, marking the efforts of agencies, mass bodies and authorities at all levels.
Therefore, the local authority will need a continuous assistance to keep this result in the coming time. As for PCI, the local administration will uphold the done achievements and assess shortcomings to improve this ranking.
