Morning 3rd December, Trade Promotion Bureau under the Ministry of Trade and Industry in collaboration with provincial People’s Committee held a conference to summarize trade promotion of the province and southern regions. The conference attracted nearly 100 representatives of industry and trade sector, regional trade promotion centers.
One big problem at the conference was linking, supporting, and improving the efficiency of trade promotion, thereby promote the role of trade promotion to help enterprises penetrating market, advertising products through regional trade fairs, programs bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas.
At the meeting, Trade Promotion Bureau’s Deputy Director Bui Thi Thanh An specified the importance of regional association to economic growth, connection between suppliers and consumers, trade fair arrangement to introduce products.
According to Trade Promotion Bureau, in 2014, trade promotion of southern regions has had high performance, contributing to accelerating production and trade process of enterprises. Namely, during this year, provinces and cities organized 25 trade fairs and sent delegations to participate in 90 domestic and international trade fairs.
Functional agencies supported more than 6,000 businesses at trade fairs, achieving revenue of more than VND200bln. In addition, programs supporting businesses in bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas have been effectively implemented. Trade Promotion units organized 90 market days bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas with total funding of nearly VND2.1bln.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Trinh, Director of Trade Promotion and Economic Information Center under Department of Trade and Industry, said, trade promotion programs have the biggest goal to help businesses selling goods and expanding distribution network, thereby creating regional association for sustainable trade development.
According to provincial People’s Committee’s Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Liem, binh Duong province has had more commercial centers meeting the shopping needs of the people and process development of the province. Mr. Liem also aspired to cooperation with Trade Promotion Bureau, industry and trade sector of other regions to enhance this sector in Binh Duong and the whole nation.
