On 25 Dec, Binh Duong Customs Department held a ceremony to summarize works in 2019 and announced tasks in 2020. Mai Hùng Dũng, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; and Nguyễn Dương Thái, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Customs, attended the ceremony.

In 2019, Binh Duong Customs effectively performed key tasks of customs modernization; state budget collection and construction of a strong clean apparatus. As of 15 Dec 2019, the department collected VND 15,032 billion, reaching 103.95% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, reaching 97.61% of the target set by the General Department of Customs, an increase of 5.11% compared to with the same period last year... The prevention of smuggling, trade fraud, especially against origin fraud, also gained many good results. In 2020, Binh Duong Customs Department strives to complete the target of revenue collection assigned by the Ministry of Finance (VND 17,100 billion); to exceed over 5% of the assigned target; building a strong and clean customs force.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dũng acknowledged, appreciated, and praised the achievements of Binh Duong Customs Department in 2019. He also hoped that in 2020 Binh Duong Customs Department would continue to make efforts to fulfill the assigned tasks, especially budget collection; continue to accelerate administrative reform, modernize customs procedures, increase application of information technology into stages of operations and management...
On this occasion, Binh Duong Customs Department received emulation flag of 2018 by the Prime Minister; many collectives and individuals received second-class Labor Medal awarded by the President; Certificate of Merit awarded by the Prime Minister.
