In the morning of November 30th, Provincial People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of Di An wastewater treatment plant, which was invested by Provincial People's Committee and executed by Binh Duong Water - Environment Joint Stock Company. Di An wastewater treatment plant was built on an area of 6.8 ha, with capacity of 20,000 m3/day, employs modern technologies. Domestic wastewater will be treated before being discharged back into the environment. Pipeline and drainage system has a total length of over 300 km with 23,000 boxes connected to households to collect and treat domestic wastewater. The project continues to concretize the entire system of Lo O canals and streams, 7 pumping stations, contributing to solving the flood situation in Di An town. More than 40,000 households have benefited from the project.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dung expressed his gratitude to The World Bank, central ministries and local people for handing over lands to the work. Provincial People's Committee asked Binh Duong Water - Environment Joint Stock Company to manage and promote the effectiveness and efficiency of the plant.
