In Q1, 2020, Thuan An city’s industrial production value was estimated at more than VND57.68trillion or 23.4% of the resolution of the city’s People’s Council.
The value of some industries in terms of food-beverage processing, footwear, garment-textile…reached growth during the period. The city’s output of power consumed was estimated at more than VND405.26million Kw/h, ensuring supply of power for the local people’s production and daily life.
Also during the period, the city’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was VND16.75trillion, up 22% compared to the same period or 20.72% of the resolution of the local People’s Council. The city is now home to 30,000 households getting involved in trade-service, 5 supermarkets, 7 trade centers, 23 markets under the plan, 46 cooperatives and 3 linkage groups with 442 members.
In the coming time, the city’s People’s Committee will continue tightening control over essential commodities, stabilizing the market to combat Covid-19 pandemic.
