Part 2: Creating new development space
To enhance competitiveness and create space for breakthrough growth in the northern region of the province, localities have focused on developing a connected traffic system, establishing new-generation industrial parks and compounds, with science, technology, and innovation as the foundation.
Well-prepared infrastructure
Amidst the trend of industrial shift towards the northern region of the province, Binh Duong has actively invested in its traffic system to establish seamless connectivity between different areas in the north, aiming at attracting industrial development investment. Specifically, arterial roads within the province such as National Highway 13, My Phuoc - Bau Bang, DT750, DT749A, DT749C, D741B, North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang, Ho Chi Minh city’s belt road 4 are being expedited. The investment and implementation of new roads not only reduce costs and time for transporting goods to ports in the Southeastern region, enhancing attractiveness to attract high-quality investment projects to the northern region.

Currently, Dau Tieng district is accelerating site clearance and handing over land to investors of industrial parks and compounds, contributing to the completion of the 2025 public investment plan. The district is also focusing on developing roads connecting with neighboring localities. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Vice Secretary of Dau Tieng district’s Party Committee and Chairman of the district’s People's Committee emphasized that prioritizing infrastructure development and creating favorable conditions for investors is a key task. The district is determined to resolve compensation and site clearance issues for key projects, including the project of upgrading and expanding DT744 road from Km24+460 to Cau Cat intersection, DT749A road through the center of Long Hoa commune and the relocation of the medium- and low-voltage power grid along the Ho Chi Minh road. Additionally, the district is actively supporting and facilitating businesses in constructing infrastructure for the An Lap Industrial Compound of 75 hectares to ensure early operation and coordinating with relevant agencies to complete documents for the Long Tan Industrial Compound project of 50 hectares to proceed with the next steps as stipulated.
Phu Giao district is prioritizing the attraction of high-tech projects that require less labor, ensure ecological balance and promote green development. According to To Van Dat, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People's Committee, in the coming period, the district aims at attracting investment for the development of four industrial parks covering 2,800 hectares and 18 industrial compounds spanning over 1,183 hectares. Additionally, the district is enhancing efforts to attract investment in infrastructure development for approved industrial parks and compounds while promoting industries and handicrafts that utilize advanced technology and minimize environmental pollution.
Seizing opportunities
Amidst the ongoing shift and relocation of industrial zones and compounds from the southern to the northern region of the province, the development of industrial parks in line with sustainable growth strategies is creating a new economic boost for localities. With abundant land resources, localities in the northern region of the province not only alleviate spatial pressure, but also open up opportunities for environmentally friendly projects at the trend of transitioning toward a green and sustainable development model.
Nguyen Chi Trung, CEO of Gia Dinh Group, the investor of Tam Lap 2 Industrial Ccmpound stated: “We are making every effort to accelerate the construction of Tam Lap 2 Industrial Compound’s infrastructure to complete and commence operations by Q2 2025. This site will feature modern infrastructure, prioritize the use of clean production technology, contributing to environmental protection and promoting sustainable development. Located along the North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang arterial road, Tam Lap 2 industrial park offers significant advantages for enterprises in transporting goods”.
In addition to Tam Lap 2 industrial compound, Gia Dinh Group is also completing procedures to develop Tam Lap 5 industrial compound. The investment in this project enjoys significant advantages as the investor has already possessed cleared land, free from compensation and site clearance issues.
According to Nguyen Anh Vu, Chairman of Tam Lap communal People’s Committee in Phu Giao district, with promising signs from investment attraction, Tam Lap is expected to rise strongly and become the district’s economic engine in the coming time… (to be continued)
Nguyen Phuong Linh, Vice Secretary of Dau Tieng district’s Party Committee and Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee stated that the An Lap Industrial Compound project is currently undergoing land leveling and construction of complete technical infrastructure, public utilities, fire prevention systems... Accelerating the development of this industrial compound aims at attracting enterprises’ investment while also anticipating the relocation trend of enterprises outside industrial parks in the southern localities of the province, creating jobs and increasing income for local residents.
