During the development process, Binh Duong has selected its economic structure of industry-service and agriculture in line with the local potentials and strong points. The province has focused on perfecting key works in the 2011-2015 period, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic and urban development.

Infrastructure built in a synchronous way
Binh Duong has mobilized all resources from economic sectors to build infrastructure facilities in a modern and synchronous way with industrial parks with large scale. Accordingly, the province’s traffic system has seen a synchronous development connecting Binh Duong New City with the local urban centers, the national and regional traffic systems, greatly contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Some key works include the new Thu Bien bridge which spans Dong Nai river connecting Binh Duong’s Tan Uyen town and Dong Nai’s Vinh Cuu district; the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway with the section going through TDM city and Thuan An town completed so far; the way to provincial Integrated Administration Center…They are of great significance for socio-economic development of the province and the southern key economic zone.
Besides, province-based industrial parks have reached a perfect investment in infrastructure. The province has also zoned industrial parks under an open way, which are closely linked with new trade-service-residential estates and satellite urban areas.
One of Binh Duong’s highlights in infrastructure development is the work of provincial Integrated Administration Center in TDM city’s Hoa Phu ward that was completed and put into use on February 2014. The province has also attached special importance to developing supermarket, trade center and market systems, meeting people’s demand for shopping and contributing to promoting the local trade-service development.
Construction of key works promoted
Mai Hung Dung, Director of provincial Department of Planning and Investment said that the province has basically fulfilled targets on infrastructure development of the Resolution of the 9th provincial Party Congress, provincial People’s Committee’s Plan No.3001/KH-UBND in association with the province’s five-year socio-economic development plan from 2011 to 2015.
The province’s traffic system has also been connected with industrial and urban areas, thereby greatly contributing to the local socio-economic development.
In the coming time, Binh Duong will further focus on completing some key works, namely My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, Ong Co bridge…while requiring investors of industrial parks to soon fulfill their infrastructure system at the local development requirements.
The province will also pay attention to developing infrastructure in terms of health and education, training highly-skilled human resources, promoting modern trade-services...at the local socio-economic development demand. Moreover, the province will consider investment methods and deal with the issues of urban water drainage, environmental hygiene…in the urban development process, creating a clear and civilized image for the local urban areas.
