Tran Van Nam, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial Party Committee made the statement at a teaching period on “Binh Duong’s industrial management and development-Real situation and measures” at a provincial training course for would-be leaders.
According to him, the province’s industrial manufacture has reached a rapid development in accordance with the resolutions set out by provincial Party Congresses over tenures. The whole province now has a total of 28 industrial parks, including 26 in operation. The province’s GDP growth rate in the 1997 and 2013 period was 14.1%/year. The province has so far absorbed more than US$20.2bln in FDI capital and nearly VND130trillion in domestic capital. As of late 2013, the province reached an economic structure with 61.3% of industry, 35.3% of services and agriculture of 3.4%...The above results came from the efforts by provincial leaders, especially in infrastructure development, creating a breakthrough for the local industrial development.
In the coming time, Binh Duong will change the usage of some industrial parks in the southern region of the province and promote hi-tech development in the northern region of the province; attach special importance to fostering industries with high localization, minimize labor-intensive ones; pay attention to promoting auxiliary industries…
Upon the above development orientations, Mr.Nam also asked for the province’s would-be leaders to further uphold their responsibilities, contributing to promoting the local industrial development…
