The emulation of province-based Ips has created a gravitational force for FDI inflows into the province, strongly affecting the local urban, trade and services development. The urban image of the province has got more spacious with trade-services reaching a stable growth.
Urban development
Province-based Ips have upheld their efficiency in investment attraction, greatly contributing to increasing the local industrial production value and State budget revenue as well as creating jobs for more than 400,000 laborers in and out of the province.

So far, province-based Ips have absorbed more than 1,770 foreign and domestic enterprises with tens of thousands of experts, engineers and laborers. To help them get a stable workforce, the province has attached special importance to developing urban and residential areas. Many urban and residential areas have loomed large around Ips, namely, Dong A 1, Binh Duong, My Phuoc 1, 2 and 3…, contributing to improving the local urban infrastructure.
Possibly speaking, province-based Ips have promoted to the local urban development. The image of civilized and modern urban areas has been obviously showed in Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat and Tan Uyen towns with houses, streets, schools and other infrastructure facilities that look very spacious, clean and beautiful.
The development of Ips in districts of the province, namely Viet Huong 2, An Tay, Bau Bang, Dat Cuoc…, has also changed the local rural image. The birth of Ips in the rural areas of the province has contributed to improving the spiritual and material lives of the local people.
Trade, services on sharp change
The development of Ips plus the urban image quickly formed up has created favorable conditions for the province’s trade-services to strongly change with the annual growth of over 20%. The lives of those who live in the areas of the province with Ips have got thriving with the robust growth of trade-services models. Thanks to having Ips’existence, Di An, Thuan An, Ben Cat towns and TDM city have become animated with retail and wholesale stores, trade centers and supermarkets.
The most obvious impact of Ips on urban, trade and services development has been showed in Ben Cat town. According to the town’s People’s Committee, there are 2,000 newly-granted certificates for individual business households every year. Their business efficiency has contributed to helping the province reach a stable growth in trade and service, thereby improving the lives of the local people.
In general, building Ips to create a driving force for the province’s economic development has so far brought into full play its effectiveness. The development of the local IPs has harmoniously formed up a series of urban and residential areas, helping build up a perfect socio-economic infrastructure system, contributing to promoting the local industrialization and modernization in association with urbanization in a synchronous and sustainable way. This is also one of measures taken by the province towards a goal of becoming the centrally-controlled municipality by 2020.
