Japanese enterprises invest over USD 3.1 billion in Binh Duong

According to the provincial People's Committee, in the first nine months, more Japanese investment projects had been certified in Binh Duong. Of the mentioned projects, the large-scale investment includes: Tokyu Binh Duong Urban Area Project invested by Tokyu Group at USD 1.2 billion; Project of producing synthetic compound film sheets with first stage investment of USD 35 million by Dai Nippon Printing Group; Project of Investment in the commercial center of Aeon Group at USD 95 million, and so on. In addition to the new projects, many Japanese efficiently operating businesses have increased their capital to expand production and business including: Sun Steel Joint Stock Company increased its capital by USD 120 million to increase the production capacity of iron and steel; Wonderful Saigon Electrics Co., Ltd. increased its capital by USD 150 million to increase the production capacity of cameras, high-capacity integrated circuits and other electronic circuit boards; Kirin Vietnam Beverage Co., Ltd. has increased its capital by USD 15.8 million to increase the capacity to produce milk, juice, and etc. This result raised the number of Japanese firms investing in Binh Duong at present to 167 projects with total investment of more than USD 3.1 billion, accounting for more than 18% of total foreign investment flow to the province.
