In addition to central policies, in recent years, the province has issued many policies to support agricultural and rural development, attract businesses to invest in agricultural production and support the development of technological agriculture. Up to now, the province has established hi-tech agricultural zones, good farming practices towards VietGAP, safe vegetable cooperatives and many agricultural processing facilities to ensure food safety. Products. The whole province now has more than 580 hectares of organic cultivation, including 250 hectares of citrus, more than 25 hectares of vegetables, the rest are other fruit trees.
At the seminar, the focus of discussion was on necessary requirements and organic agricultural production solutions. Recently, the province's agriculture has developed strongly. However, businesses and agricultural producers in the province still face many difficulties. The reason is determined by the production scale of many businesses, agricultural producers in the province are small, so the consumption contract is not stable.
Another difficulty is that the consumer market has not clearly distinguished between products applying high technology to ensure quality, food safety and conventional products, so attracting businesses to invest in agriculture limit.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Kien, Head of Guava Thanh Kien Cooperative (Cooperative) Agricultural Cooperative (Bo La Hamlet, Phuoc Hoa Commune, Phu Giao District), said that people's lives have been increasingly improved, the demand for using products Clean and safe products are increasing. This requires the production activities to adjust and standardize products to meet the increasing consumer demand of society. Therefore, right from its inception, the cooperative has determined to produce in an organic way, saying no to chemical fertilizers and pesticides, only composting compost and probiotics.
Up to now, the cooperative has boldly invested in converting 18 hectares of guava cultivation land into an organic production model. At first, although the guava yield was not high because it was in the process of testing, the cooperative still attached to this crop. Cooperatives desire to provide high quality safety products to meet the needs of domestic and foreign customers.
Need good coordination
Dr. Nguyen Dang Nghia, Director of the Center for Tropical Agriculture Research and Consulting, said organic agriculture is a sustainable agriculture. Organic farming will improve and maintain the natural landscape, agricultural ecosystems, avoid overexploitation and pollute natural resources; minimize the use of energy and non-renewable resources; produce enough nutritious, non-toxic and high quality food.
Organic agriculture also ensures the maintenance and increase of soil fertility, strengthens the biological cycles on the farm, especially the nutrient and plant protection cycles based on prevention of change. for curing, diversifying crops and livestock suitable for local conditions.
At the workshop, many delegates said that to restructure agriculture associated with the development of clean agriculture, increase agricultural economic efficiency, increase competitiveness of agricultural products, localities and businesses. According to Mr. Nghia, in order to remove difficulties and obstacles, in the coming time, the State should have policies to encourage and support enterprises to join in the production and consumption of agricultural products with farmers; establishing and maintaining relationships between businesses and farmers in sharing market information, technology, knowledge, product quality, provision of seed, fertilizer and other services.
Along with that, the State, businesses and farmers have solutions to organize agricultural production in accordance with the scale and conditions of each locality associated with the development of key and typical products. The State should have policies to support businesses and farmers to invest in clean agriculture and high-tech agriculture. At the same time, there should be a close cooperation between the State, farmers, scientists and businessmen.
