Khanh Binh’s economy continues attaining stable growth

Since early this year, thanks to the integral efforts by the local Party, government and people, Khanh Binh ward’s economy in Tan Uyen town has continued obtaining stable development, ensuring its completion of the yearly plan.

High growth

Khanh Binh ward is now home to 310 enterprises, up 32 compared to 2015. Over the past 10 months, the ward’s sector of trade-services continued stably developing with 84 lodging facilities licensed. The whole ward has so far had a total of 439 lodging facilities with 11,401 rooms, up 657 compared to late 2015 and 1,719 individual business households, up 114 against late 2015.

In terms of agricultural production, farmers in the ward have bravely applied sci-tech advancements into production. The ward’s traffic system has also been invested and upgraded. Since early this year, the ward has upgraded 5 roads with total length of 2,150 meters and total investment of approximately VND300million, funded by the local enterprises and people. Regarding electricity, there have now 2,179 local households with individual galvanometers; 1,964 ones in use of clean water from North Tan Uyen water plant…

Further shifting economic structure

Under its plan on socio-economic development for the 2016-2020 period, the ward will strive to become a third-class city and be one of Tan Uyen town’s fast growing cities. To successfully carry out this plan, the ward will further make the shift of economic structure, promoting industrial production in association with trade-service and urban development as planned; apply sci-tech advancements into agricultural production…

Particularly, the ward will continue shifting its economic structure towards industry-services and agriculture; strive to reduce the ratio of rural laborers to 15% in 2020; reach State budget collection that is 2.5-3 times higher than 2015. Till 2020, there will be 100% of local households with individual galvanometers; the average income per capita of locals will be VND52million per year…

To effectively realize its targets on socio-economic development for the 2016-2020 period, the ward will further beef up the shift of economic structure towards industry-service and agriculture. Upon the regulations of provincial People’s Committee, the ward will consider and arrange industries as planned; promote urban agricultural models; further recheck and assess the real situation of the local poor households’ income, housing, information approach, healthcare…for timely support towards sustainable poverty escape.
